Dear Parents,
We started the conference yesterday and had a full day of lobbying and attended an opening conference. Two of our students spoke in front of the entire conference,Ghanim Al Shaabi and Abdulla Al Kuwari, it was very brave of them. We also got some snow yesterday, the boys of course had many snowball fights:) Today we are continuing the conference and doing well. It is a lot of work for our students and they are doing great.
We miss you all!

Day 1 in St Petersbug!
Hello Family,
We are working on figuring out how to post on the blog but
until then here are some pictures from our day. Today we went out into
the cold and got a tour of the subway system. St. Petersburg has the
deepest subway system in the world and it is also very beautiful. The
subway is meant to be decorated like a palace to keep the people happy during
Communism. Then we exchanged money and went to the farmers market.
The students were real excited about purchasing a variety of honey. Then
off to the see the Church of Spilled Blood which is full of art. The
history in St. Petersburg is very interesting and we are learning all about WWI
and WWII. We had a nice lunch and now the students are enjoying the pool
and sauna at the hotel. We are all doing well and enjoying
ourselves. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Mrs. Emmy Josefson Machicek
