At the end of our big day in Cordoba, we relaxed at an Italian restaurant.
Everyone caught up on their internet lives and posted Instagram photos. When we left Granada in the morning, we drove through miles of sunflower fields.
Then we spotted the mountains!
We stopped at a cafe in the mountains for some snacks.
Most of us tried some piononos, a sponge cake topped with custard and cinnamon, at the advice of our guide, Jorge.
Then a lot of us took a siesta while our bus journey continued.
We reached Nerja around 12:15, where we descended into a giant cave.
The cave had about a thousand stairs, so everyone was ready for some cool drinks outside!
After that, we went to the resort town of Nerja itself.
Nerja is called the Balcony of Europe, maybe because of the great view!
The mountains got taller and taller as we left Nerja and drove inland toward Granada.
When we arrived we found a surprise waiting for us in the hotel lobby: Group A!
Everyone enjoyed seeing their friends.
Then we went different ways again, and Group B saw some of the old part of Granada before having dinner in a plaza near one of the city's biggest cathedrals.
Tomorrow: Alhambra!
